If you feel like getting off the beaten track, and want to see more than the well known tourist attractions, we can offer you excellent alternatives near by.
Saga Camping is the perfect place to start walking or bikeing, in the idyllic Telemark County scenery.
You will get the experience of many well-sign posted trails.
In the mountain nearby, you will find over 120 different climbing routes, just waiting for you.
We will do our best to assist you in planning your trips or rides.

Saga Camping is located between two popular ski resorts, Vrådal 42 km driving distance and Gautefall within 16 km

Swimming.
With a beach stretching more than 1 km, you can either join the crowd - or find your own selected little bay to enjoy the sun and the water of the fjord.

Fishing.
Nisser and the mountain lakes in Nissedal, offer you excellent fresh-water fishing
There are plenty of excellent fishing eareas and you'll easily find your own special place to cast your line.
You are free to use your own boat - or ask us, and we will be pleased to assist you in hireing a boat.

What kind of fish you can get in Nisser:
Trout, Char, Perch and Whitefish Sik.

Fishing method.
Fishing-tackle with spoon bait or spinner, for fly, and for float hook and angelworm.

Rental.
Boat/ båt - Canoe / Kano.

In order to go fishing, you have to buy a licence.

Jettegrytene - det naturlige Badeland

Vatnet har forma eit stort stykke kunstverk sør i Nissedal. Jettegryter på rekkje og rad utgjer ein idyll som ikkje akkurat blir mindre når det er sommar.

FAKTA om jettegrytene

Jettegrytene er runde eller lange fordjupningar i fast fjell.

Dei oppstår ved erosjon av vatn som har sett steinar og grus i roterande rørsler.

Jettegryter finn ein oftast i stryk og fossar, der vatnet har stor fart og dannar kvervlar.

Jettegryter finn ein også på stader der det no ikkje er elvar. Desse er

laga av smeltevatn under istida.
